Smile Question about Power Seat operator? UPDATE!!

Yesterday; I found a 99 Monte in a Salvage yard with a great driver side front seat leather.
Power Seat.
I was unable to remove it needed more tools?
The salvage yard guy says that you can take a 9 Volt battery and hook it up to the seat and it will operate the power seat and move it?
Any one know if this is True or not?
I want to get back to get that seat.
Thanks for your help!!
the 9 volt worked!!!

Considering the car is designed on a 12v system, I question if a 9v would work.... But I'm not an expert.

Do you have a 12 Volt Portable Power Pack / Jump Start? If so I would just use that with a positive fused lead wire & ground lead wire.

Smile Update on the 9 volt Battery thing

Update on the 9 volt battery use on the seat.
I found a Leather seat in a U-pull it yard and it was a powered unit should work fin in my Monte.
I took a half dozen batteries with and one of the Transistor type wiring clips with 2 wires and I was able to detach the seat wires and inserted them to the power unit and low and behold it worked. but I expended 3-9volt batteries in the process good thing that worked don't know how I would have been able to get it otherwise.
So now that mystery has been solved.
The check in guy at the yard was wondering why I had so many batteries along good thing I did.
Seats are great shape and still soft as well,
