power steering recall
They had to drop the cradle to do the job, they probably screwed up the alignment pins when they did that. Just bring it back and have them fix it.
That happened to me when I had my transmission put in.

Was it ever confirmed that 2007 Monte Carlo's are affected?
Update: I stopped by the dealer and they looked up my VIN for 2007 Monte Carlo LT -- they said no campaigns or recalls for my car.

its for all 06-07's regardless of models ... mine actually blew this winter and i had to pay to get it repaired at the time after driving the car home from downtown chicago nearly 30 miles ... luckily it was straight roads nearly all the way home but we still had to dump nearly 5 bottles of fluid in on the way just to maintain some steering control
if you have the receipt from the shop where you had it fixed and proof of payment if anything other than cash was used you can submit that to chevy to get reimbursed ...

I know this is an old thread but will aftermarket performance parts affect my eligibility for this recall work? I added the cartuning.ca turbocharger to my '06 and I would hate to be turned away at the door because of it. I am pretty sure that they only turn away recalls if the aftermarket work is the direct cause of the failure, but I am not sure. Any ideas?

And if it doesn't void it, you know who can do the work if your closest one won't
