Possible Passlock or BCM or Something Problems

It is under the dash on the driver's side. It's like a black box that is clipped on. Kind of difficult to get it out and you have to open it up to get the BCM out.

I took mine out and unplugged the plugins and put them back in and have not had any weird dash issues since doing that. Might just be coincidense though.

much thanks,its going in today for a hanging muffler (pipe needs welding) and I had asked him to check it out without getting too involved.

Do you work for free? If you want codes scanned for free go to autozone. If you want the problem diagnosed, module programmed, problem fixed right, pay the premium at the dealer.\

I wont even hook the scanner up for less than $80.

I don't have a problem getting some things done at the dealer but when I can buy an AC-Delco BCM from Rockauto for $152 and my local dealer wants almost $300 for the same part that they have to order and don't pay any overhead on, I do have a problem with that. I understand they have to make money but they charge crazy high prices that are way over cost. To me that feels like getting screwed.

I just got a quote on a new bcm and programming-$450 at our 2 local dealerships .couldn't start it today so it sits in the driveway and we took the Cheyenne to work
