Exclamation Please help me!!!!!!

i have an 03 monte carlo. today i was taking my step dad to work and this horrible grinding noise was coming from the back. it only occurs between 3-15mph. it stops once i get faster. i dont know much about cars and dont know where to begin with what the problem is. im almost positive its from the passenger side because the rim is really hot to the touch but the drivers side is just slightly warm. please help me.

It's possible that you have a brake caliper that isn't releasing, or maybe a wheel bearing that is seizing up. The only way to know for sure is a physical inspection. I wouldn't drive the car much like that.

Ditto on above advice I suggest you take it to your dealer & a reliable garage & have it inspected...It's better to be safe then sorry...
If it's one of the above problems you could do more damage & cost you a lot more...

* How many miles on your 03 Monte ? Have you had any brake work since you've own it ?

Good Luck & keep us updated on what you decide/find

thanks guys. the pad on the back side was completely worn down so that was the main problem. i got the car from my gfs mom who said they changed all the breaks when in reality they only changed the fronts. now another question. why dont i have low beams? bulbs are fine. brights work, daytime running lights work, all signals work just no low beams at all. the bulbs are still perfect in there so idk what it is. relay maybe?

Nice, Brakes call!
With the low seems I thought with these cars, 6th Gen, the Head Light Out or whatever it says would come on?

Common cause for failure with headlights in many GM cars is the "multi-function switch". You know is as the turn signal wand. It controls activating the high beams and they seem to wear down causing it to be a pain to switch between high and lo. Mine is actually messed up, stuck on lo beams.
