I have a 2003 Monte...for the last 2 years I have been putting up with it stalling REALLY bad. It never actually dies, just sputs and jerks. In the last 2 yrs altogether Ive replaced the MOTOR, water pump, fuel pump, axle, catalytic converter, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, mass air flow sensor, and abs module. As for it still stalling what else should I do? The interior and exterior is in immaculate condition so I still want to keep it but Im at my wits end with how it has been running. Please help! Any piece of advise will be greatly appreciated

Is it throwing any codes? Could be a number of different sensors causing this.

 

Is the MAF an AC Delco? If not..That could be the cause of the problem.

 

I agree with STUMPMI...aftermarket MAF's are usually junk from everything I've read. Also look for any vacuum leaks although they'll typically throw an SES code.

 

Thanks everyone! I got my car back from the shop and its running great and only cost $60. I replaced the spark plugs and wires and the mechanic said it was stalling bc there was a problem with the throttle that he fixed. This has been so stressful! Thanks for the help!
