Default P0102 problems

2002 Chevy Monte Carlo SS
V6 3800 series || 80K
Condition Mint
Yesterday the computer spit out a code P0102 Mass Air Flow sensor.
I removed the sensor and cleaned it with Mass Air Flow Sensor cleaner , and replaced the Air Filter with STP brand ,then waited about two hours and replaced all parts.
After ensuring the car was Fixed I drove to Auto Zone and had them Reset the Computer then drove home & parked the car.

This morning my son went to start the car and she was giving him a hard time starting, it would start hesitate then die out, I just spent the past two hours running the car in the garage and she will not spit out a code, but if I accelerate the engine the car will start to hesitate at 4000 RPM then die, the only way I can describe the hesitation is like this, if you have rented a car lately and accelerated the car over 75Mph it will govern the car down, that is the exact same sound this car is making when I try to accelerate.

Thanks in advance

i would just replace the mass air flow sensor. In my last car the smallest fingerprint would make it run horrible and it sounds like you are experiencing the same symptoms. It didnt give me a code either but once I replaced it in ran like a champ.

Hi `Jiggly,
If you have cleaned your MAF good, and its still
acting `up it could be dirty injectors ? ? Maybe.
Have you ever run Sea Foam ?
Do you have your original Cat ?
Many members swear by Sea Foam.
Below are some links for you to check it out.

[*]i have used sea foam in the past on different vehicles , GOOD stuff !! but in this case , this car doesn't even have one ounce of dirt in the throttle body, its in Mint condition and extremely well maintained by me.
