Default 2000 SS throwing P0102

Hey all, sad to say I had to move my 2005 SS to make room for a baby seat.

Anyway, my sister has a 2000 SS and it is apparently throwing a P0102 and will stall out sometimes. We have cleaned the MAF and replaced plugs and wires. Also the air filter was caked fll of dirt. Anyone have any other ideas? We've already dropped a couple hundred and I don't want to change the MAF if there could be something else.

Thanks again!

"Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Low Input" Pretty sure it's a bad MAF sensor. Check the wiring also

More times than not...cleaning the MAF sensor doesnt always work....
Sounds like you need to replace it.

See if you can track down a used one. I replaced mine with a low mileage used MAF from Morad and got about 40k out of it before it went out and then I got another one from them and it worked until I sold the car.

I would clean the connector and check the voltage supply to the MAF sensor before replacing it. Unplug the connector from the sensor and connect the positive probe of a voltmeter to the pink wire, and the negative probe to the black/white wire in the connector. With the key on (engine not running) you should see approx. 12 volts. If you don't see approx. 12 volts check the wiring from the connector to the power distribution center and your engine ground. If you do see appox. 12 volts you will need a scan tool to read the MAF sensor output. It should be approx. 4 to 6 grams per second at idle. As you accelerate the value should quickly rise and remain steady with a steady engine idle at various rpm. If it doesn't fall within these specs then the sensor is defective.
