I've never had an aftermarket remote start...I have factory remote start on my Monte....But, I've had an aftermarket alarm on my 89 truck, and I agree with you. It screwed the electrics up bad. at one point the stupid alarm malfunctioned and made it so the truck would not start...So I just took the damn thing out...

yha, i dont really like the aftermarket alarms / remote start setups. my dads Z34 has both, and they both suck / the car has all kinds of electricall problems.... of course, under the hood it looks like the wire factory exploded, everything under there is an unlabeled nightmare, thanks to whoever installed the alarm / remote start.
