hey had a similar issue turned out to be by hazard switch. good luck

 

The issues caused by a bad hazard switch are pretty well documented here. In fact, I have a bad hazard switch, but it is intermittent and, in my case, can be fixed by slightly pressing the hazard when the directional does not flash.
