No power to factory radio amp

No power to factory radio amp
Help please!!! It does not appear I have power going to the factory stereo amp. The fuse is good. I disconnected the harnesses from the amp and made two jumper wires and I can get music/sound then to the speakers. I took a test light to what appears to be the orange power wire and it would very faintly light up the test light, but barely, and not constant, I have to move the test light probe around to get it to faintly light. Any help is greatly appreciated. I guess I should mention it is a 2002 Monte.
THanks.

Hey all, just thought I would post an update to this as I found out my issue yesterday finally. the hot wire that feeds the amp splits from one wire to two wires. This split is in the main harness running to the back along the passenger door, and is in the area of where you crawl into the back seat. I re-did the connection with a butt splice and BOOM, the radio works again.
