Im new here and just my 04 LS on Saturday. My first problem I have found is the lights on the face of the factory stereo don't come on, it is just a blank screen. The stereo works fine, but I have no idea what all setting I can adjust from it. Does anyone know how I can try to fix this??

I guess I may have to look into an aftermarket swap then, I just didn't want to have to buy the door chime thing. It's so aggravating not being able to see what station the radio is on and what time it is lol

 

As you have discovered, it needs a radio. FWIW, you don't "need" the chime thing. I also have an 2004 LS and just tapped into the factory wiring to hook up my after market radio. All you'll need to do is run a key on power wire.
