My left front door speaker barely has any sound coming from it. Sometimes it will come back on but then goes back out. I checked the wires to the speaker, they are clean and tightly connected. Anybody have any ideas??

 

Check the amp that's in the trunk. Same exact deal with my 01 Monte SS .
I picked one up at a Boneyard for $25; Dealer Cost is $200+!!
All is working fine now.

PS. If the dealer tells you it's the Stereo, don't believe them.

FYI. GM used the same amp's in the 2000 & 2001. If you need the part #'s let me know.

 

You nailed it. I wiggled the wires at the amp and the speaker started working. It's out again and isn't coming back. I guess it's amp shopping time. Thanks for the help.
