Question no interior air

Hi!

i need help trying to figure out whats wrong with my car. shes an 04 monte ss 3.8 not supercharged.

she started having problems in the summer where the cabin air wouldnt kick on unless i started driving about 50 or so. it then got to the point where it wouldnt turn on at all. its happeneing to both driver and passenger side at the same time. i still have a/c and heat it just wont blow out! to help save money i was hoping to figure out what parts i would need to get before going to the shop.

when i go to turn the fan on i feel like i hear something click/ activate but nothing comes out of my vents. if im going down the road it kind blows through but the fans defiantly arnt the ones doing it.

radiator and everything works as far as i know. iv been told many things that it could be but figured i would post on this forum to get some additional opinions!

thanks for the help guys!

Hello Roxanne, and Welcome to MCF!
Let's go from least Expensive to Most Expensive!
1) Blower Fuse
2) Fan Resistor (that's the switch that regulates the fan speed)
3) Blower Motor
There could also be a Vacuum leak but that would cause other problems as well.
These are the things I would check!

I had an 03 SS that did sort of the same thing. But when my blower controls wouldnt work, i noticed that the overhead driver info center wasnt operable and the green cruise light was illuminated on the dash cluster.
if i ever started the car up and the cruise light was on and that display inop, i wouldnt have any blower air moving.
It wouldnt do it all the time, just now and then.
I know it may sound silly but the ignition switch fixed it from happening and all was good. good news if thats the same as you the switch is only like $80 from ac delco, cheaper if you go aftermarket. and takes like 15 minutes to change
