Default Outside air/recirculated air switch stuck

I've got an 03 Monte, and the switch to change from outside to recirculated air is stuck in the on position(the light is illuminated on the 'outside' button). I can't get it to switch back to the recirculated position.
Anybody have a similar problem or fix suggestion?

I'm not sure if this is the problem, but I think when you have the airflow set on certain settings (defrost for example), it doesn't allow you to switch from fresh to recirculate.

My 2003 owner's manual says "recirculate" only works with vent and bi-level modes. Hopefully this is all that is wrong.

Thanks for the input...this car is new to me and didn't come with a manual. I'll try some different settings and see if it works. Thanks again.

Good luck with it. For some reason people like to keep owners manuals as souvenirs or something. You can download a manual here:
http://www.gm.ca/gm/english/owner_ce...ources/manuals
I have mine, but decided to download and keep a copy on my laptop.

You're more than welcome. Credit for the link goes to Taz, who has it in a sticky on here somewhere.

Glad I could help.
I'm only good at the "easy" stuff, if you want to add/change superchargers, turbochargers, etc. I let other people answer those type of questions. :p
