Default No dash, steering wheel, or arm rest lights.

Also, radio, mileage and rearview mirror displays are dim at night. 2001 MC SS

Most likely the "instrument panel dimmer switch" same thing happened to my monte. Replaced it and everything was all good. Gonna run ya about 200 bucks.

Could be this, should actually cost you around $30.. it's 3 screws and a connector once the dash is removed. You can see how to remove the dash here:

Yup its real simple to change. Paid between 150 and 200 for my switch at the dealership. Wish it cost me 30$ i will have change leftover haha.
