I have a problem with my 2004 Montecarlo SS sc.after peeling off i notice a cracking noise when i make a right and left turn. I also notice the noise when going on reverse and turning the wheel.It also seems i have lost power.Does this have to do with a power steering failure.please help any info would be helpful thanks

 

not sure about an 04 but the 7th gen i believe have fairly common pump issues. it also could be the intermidiate steering shaft, i believe that has been an issue since 2000.
