That leaky LIM could definitely be the cause of your lean code...

Default Need Help with our 05 monte overheating

PLEASE HELP, our car is driving us CRAZY. Temperture gauge works it way up and then the hot coolant light comes on. Does this sporadically, replaced the thermostat and then it ran right for about a week or two and started again, replaced the radiator cap and water pump, again ran perfect for a week and started back up. I have since replaced the belt and hoses and radiator and bled it. Now it is still running hot and white steam coming from the tail pipe occasionally. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.....
Also it is 2005 3.4 motor.

Sounds like a head gasket is failing if your seeing steam coming from your exhaust pipe. How does your engine oil look? Is it getting a creamy color or foamed appearance to it. This would indicate water getting past head gasket....A shop can do a chemical "Block Checker" test to see if your head gasket is in fact leaking. This test determines if exhaust gases are getting into your coolant. Simple and cheapest test for one to have done.

Sisk, Could also be a lower intake manifold leak too. 3.4's are commonly known for both problems
