Default My tail lights cracked?

Okay folks, I'm confused. I sprayed my tail lights with VHT Nite Shades the other day and they looked fine. Then today as I was washing the car I notice a couple of small cracks in both tail lights - one larger one on the right one, two on the left - no idea how that happened. Was it, somehow, the spray? I didn't back into anything, and my headlights are sprayed but they're unaffected. What kind of evil sorcery has been set upon my tail lights? Enlighten me, please.

like an actual crack or crack in the nite shade?

did you use any adhesive promoter(plastic primer) when you did it?

I would blame the heat.

Yeah, like actual cracks you can feel in the lights if you run your finger over them. I didn't use anything other than the nite shade spray.

And I thought it was the heat, but then what's the point of VHT? Something's not right...

Hmm, yeah could be the heat from the plastic contracting and expanding - and since you put nightshade on it, it kind of prevents the plastic from pulling and expanding, so it cracked?? Not sure, just a guess.

My tail lights have a TON of small cracks and chips inside the plastic cover, you can't feel them, but you sure can see them, and they keep getting worse.

Wow that's really unfortunate. Now I'm a little intimidated to spray my headlights even darker.

Huh, my right one is cracked too.. At the moment, it looks like only the outer clear portion is cracked. Whenever I wash the car, or it rains, both of the taillights fog up in the corners also. It goes away, and water itself doesn't get inside, but it is something to keep an eye on, that's for sure. But like the others were saying, heat and cold are big factors with this.
