Default Monte stalling out...

Hi all,

My 2003 Monte SS has 40,000 miles on it. What it's doing is after driving it for maybe 15 or so minutes, it will die when when idling (waiting for traffic light to change, stop sign, etc.

It starts right back up. The car idles very quietly and when it dies, I don't even know it until the battery light comes on or I hit the gas and go nowhere.

It runs smooth and accelarates good. Other than it stalling, it runs like a champ. I should note it doesn't die at every stop, only occasionally.

Any thoughts?

I would remove and clean the IAC (Idle Air Control)

I would also consider checking/replacing the fuel filter.
Whens the last time you checked/replaced it?

I would also remove clean lube and replace the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor)

I hope this helps resolve the stalling issue..
