monte acting weird.
04, getting the car to run right if you have a post cat 02 sensor won't be easy. Some ppl have had success with 02 simulators, but it's not worth being illegal. As long as you don't have any coolant leaking in the exhaust, and aren't running overly rich, or have dead cylinders... you'll be fine. If you want some REALLY good info on how/why cats fail, go to http://www.car-sound.com/04basics/04failures.asp
Magnaflow's site has really good info, as they make the replacement cats and high flow ones.. ceramic or metallic core.

BUDDY, GET YOUR MONTE IN THE SHOP NOW! Your owner's manual will tell you, when your engine light FLASHES it means you have a SERIOUS problem and the car went into limp mode (Service) to save the engine!

I don't have to worry about it being illegal because in my area we don't have emission. =D Chalk another bonus for living in Wisconsin.
Plusit will free up some HP and possibly some KR. Sure their is a question about backpressure, but I think the Dynomax mufflers will still keep that in check at my HP levels.
Well, Iowa's not emission restricted or tested either, but we DO have, from what I understand, a law that says you have to have the cat. converter in the exhaust. I mean, not that any cop is going to crawl under the car to have a look... but still it's possible to be fined for it... Plus, on that link I posted, they tested a civic (granted it was a 4 banger and N/A, but still) it gained 6 horse from going to a high flow metallic, and 1 more horse from going wide open. (no change in tq) Plus.. the car won't smell like ****. That, or it was 6 by ceramic, 7 by metallic, and no more gained by a "test pipe" as they call em. (straight pipe, no cat)
And you won't just be able to delete the code... I mean you'd have to do it all the time.. you will have to have the sensor eliminator... right?
I mean, to keep the car from bringing the code when it senses the exhaust not being correct.
