Ok I've got a question, I have an 02 ss and my mechanic just replaced my oil pan gasket and the low oil level message is still active..what gives is there a way to reset it or did he not do the job correctly, n also he just changed the oil at the same time..how do you reset the change oil message.

 

...turn key on (dont start the engine)push gas pedal to the floor 3 times in 5 seconds that should reset it.

 

I would still check the oil level with the dip stick, if it is low, you don't want to ignore it.

Mine informed me it was low about a month ago, and after adding a half quart the sensor turned itself off.
