I have a 05 Monte Carlo Supercharger. The past two weeks the low oil pressure light keeps randomly coming on. I have checked the oil plenty of times and just changed it, so it has oil. If I reset the oil life setting it goes away for awhile but comes back. The car is running fine and the check engine light is not on. I’m 99% sure it’s the oil life sensor or whatever it’s called. It’s annoying as hell though, I was wanting a second opinion on it. Is it the sensor or something else?

 

Your referring to two different things , low oil pressure and the life of the oil. If the low oil pressure light is coming on and you've confirmed the level is fine I would suggest getting a new oil pressure sensor. It's definitely possible the sensor is starting to fall nothing uncommon. If after you change the sensor and still have the same problem it would suggest a weak oil pump or a major mechanical issue.
