Default 5th Gen Z34 replacing battery

I've got a '97 Z34 that needs a new battery, looks like its going to be a project. Anyone have any tips? Not only will getting to the battery be challenging but looks like the dimensions of the replacement will have to be exact, its really jammed in there.

Just remove the cross brace on the drivers side, then the washer fluid resivour, then you need a long extension to get the hold down loose at the base of the battery. Some even have a hold down over the top that needs to be removed. then the side terminals off put the Red one on first after you replace it. Get an AC delco they fit the spot. its a pain for sure.

It was fairly easy. I didn't even have to totally remove the washer bottle, just swung it out of the way. At first glance it appeared to require removing the air filter box but no, just tipped the battery out sideways is all.

Good glad it worked out, I just put in a new battery last year, scored a new AC Delco thru Menards for a better price than any others around plus I had a rebate so I was happy and it fit like a glove.
