Hello. Replaced fuel filter in my 2000 SS two months ago. All was well until yesterday. Lots of fuel leaking out where filter nipple snaps into fuel line leading to gas tank. Is there some kind of gasket or fitting that goes into the fuel line where the filter nipple fits into it?

It's worked fine for the past two months.

The nipple end has a flare on it to prevent leaks. The problem is probably the plastic tab around it that holds it in place. I would just get another fuel filter and replace it. The new filter comes with a new plastic tab. I would also check the fuel line to make sure there is no damage to it as well.

 

Hi. The flare end of the fuel line was damaged. I cut it off and attached a new one to the fuel line and it works fine. Thank you very much for your suggestions!.......scott
