just got a monte carlo ss 2007 and having issues

for the hood sensor is there a way to rig it ?

and i just swap temp sensors and it still reads -40 on the dash and it says ice on road thing what els can it be

Perhaps a rodent decided to munch on some of your wires? Since both sensors seem to be in the same location? Start checking your wiring.

just checked it and dam alot of wires are not connected , this car was in a collision and i bought it already fixed but dam they left the wires that come from the hood sensor and other wires disconnected cuz the connector broke so i connected the wires with buc connectors they were color coded except for 2 exactly the same yellow wires i tried them and vise versa and i turn on the car and nothing everything the same the temp sensor still reads -40 and still have the rest of the stuff coming up , i still wounder what those wires were for ?????

they were 2 last wires alon a black and a purple im guesing those are the oones to the hood sensor i canot find the other ends to conect them ill post pics in a bit

this is the connector and where it was and pics of where the wires go to





















this are the wires that belong to the hood sensor but i cant find the ends to this

Perhaps grab a haynes manual for your car? They have wiring diagrams at the back of them

would they have them at autozone or oriellys ?

or can i download it from the web

bought the book and couldn't find what those wires are for fix the open hood wires found them just the ambient temp sensor dont wanna work can find the wires for that
