Default Having some issues...

So my car couldn't pass smog because of my mass air flow sensor. I tried cleaning it but I guess its still not working because the check engine light is still on. Should I just get a new one or can it be something else? Also is that the reason why my car takes several tries to start? I would like to add that my gas waste fairly fast. I understand its a V6 but wow. Any help would be appreciated.

I recently had the same problem you did. I would test the mass air flow sensor first, then decide wether to replace it or not. I just replaced mine like 2 weeks ago and have not had any issues so far

thanks I'm gonna try that. Was your car having the same problem as mine with the way it would take several times to start? Did changing it fix this problem? Also I was looking on ebay for the part and this seems cool. What do you think? How much did yours cost?
