Default Issue at red lights

Hey everyone. I hope all is well. My 2002 SS with 121,000 miles has done this weird thing when I am at a red light. It's happened twice in about two months. It will make a weird clunk and will jerk. It's only about a second and then it's back to normal. No other issues at all. All fluids are clean and full and no warning lights are on. Has anyone seen this before? I don't know where to start or if it's serious.

Whens the last time you did a fluid filter change on the trans?

after it does that...does it accelerate normal?.. Maybe its a clogged catalytic converter? one way to find out.... if after you have driven it for a while... look at it from under neath the car and see if its glowing red...or check it the next time it acts up again...

I'm leaning towards the filter fluid change on the trans... I'm inclinded to believe with 121,000 miles on it..Its never been changed.... I would do or have that done as soon as possible... Its generally between 80,000 and 120,000 miles that these transmissions start to show signs of wear and tear.... THE WEAKEST LINK ON OUR MONTE'S IS THE TRANSMISSION...
So Maintenance is key to the longevity of these Trans's and the overall running/performance of our Monte's is a good maintenance program on a regular basis. oil changes, fuel filters, tune ups, and trans filters and fluids.
I generally do a fluid filter change on my trans every 2 years whether it needs it or not...

Thanks for the reply! After it does it, it accelerates totally normal and drives normal. No issues at all after. I actually had the pan dropped and filter changed at 100,000 miles. I actually would like to do it again. I had the cat converter changed around 100,000 also because someone else had changed it before I bought it and it was way too small for the car. I know all too well the tranny issues these cars have. My mom has a 2000 Monte SS and it has been throwing torque converter codes and pressure control codes since 60,000 miles. It has 99,000 on it now and she just keeps driving it. I really am hoping this is something small. I can't afford any huge issues especially a transmission Is there any type of sensor on the engine that could cause this? It's such a weird issue and it happens so infrequent it's hard to troubleshoot lol. I just know it isn't right and want to take care of it before it gets worse.
