Ignition is stuck!!!
I don't think my Monte likes this Sacramento heat at all. I let my gf take my car to work today cause she had a problem with her van the other day so I didn't want her to get stranded. When I left this morning to take her van to the shop, it was driving perfectly so I decided not to take it in as we've got a pretty hectic weekend ahead of us and it would have been crazy trying to get everything done with only one vehicle. I was at one of my patients' residence making a delivery and when I got back to my truck I noticed my gf had called me 3 times. She doesn't do that so I figured something was wrong and called her immediately and she confirmed my assumption. She said the ignition wouldn't turn. So I hurried up and finished the last 3 stops on my route and headed to her job to see if I could get it to budge. Nope, not even close. So I ended up having it towed to my house and will put it in the shop on Monday. Anyone else have a similar problem? What's the cause?
I did not start having any issues with my car until now when this heatwave came, it's been at or above 100 degrees here for quite some time, and no relief in sight for the next 3-4 days. It's supposed to be 105 tomorrow.

what's an R and R? Was your car still under warranty when it happened? I guess I should call the dealer before I take it to the shop huh?

I refer to R&R as remove and replace. I normally don't get to enjoy the other definition of R&R...
A local shop should be able to take care of this and is not a dealer service only...
