Default !!!!HELP!!!! My KEY is STUCK IN IGNITION :'(

I have a 2006 SS....and my key will NOT come out of the ignition. The gear shift is fine though. When I had a 2006 LT last year and it did that, it was a case of the wiring harness under the shift gear. B/C the shifter was stuck in park. But NOW i can easily shift gears, but I CANT GET MY KEY OUT!!! . Any ideas?? HELP!!!!

Mine does this sometimes if I don't push the shifter forward all the way. Just a thought.

I had a '98 Grand Prix "hold the key" when the battery was near dead or had a poor connection (you'd try to start the car, it would not start and lights would go out and the key was stuck). Once you got power flowing again, the key came out with no problem.

i agree with this comment...it's either that or the ignition cylinder went out...

mistiksky, graphite powder is better for locks than silicone because it does not collect dirt and gum up.

Start the car back up... straighten the wheel out and shut it off then pull the key out
