Default How do you reset the airbag light?

Is there any way to reset the airbag light without something like a Tech2? The reason it's on is because I broke the clockspring (wheel was spun while the ISS was removed). I repaired the clockspring and tested all the wires for continuity afterwards and they're all good (all steering wheel controls work now). However the airbag light is still on. I've tried disconnecting the battery, pulling the fuse, and discharging the capacitors in the system without any luck on clearing the light.

The light SHOULD go off on its own when the car senses everything is okay for a specific amount of cycles.

Other than that I don't know without a tech-ii. You could TRY disconnecting the negative battery terminal for an hour.

Guess I'll drive it for a couple of days and see what happens. Now to figure out what's causing the pulsing noise in the front end at low speed (no real vibrations though).

Could be a wheel hub assembly / bearing. All in one

Yeah that's kind of what I was thinking. It gets worse turning to the left. Car was on a jackstand for trans work for over a year so it might have done some damage with all the weight shifted over for that long. I'll pull the wheel and check for play/rough rotation.

My airbag light was on when I bout my LS I was told by a GM dealer they could shut it off but it'd cost $40 bucks.

That's what it was. Dug up the receipt for the old one and got a new one since it was still under the three year warranty. Test drive after that was perfect. Still have the airbag light though.

Glad to hear. Again the airbag if fixed should go out after a certain number of restarts (maybe 50??)

Or else the Tech-2 is needed.

@ ChibiBlackSheep:

My Passenger airbag light is on as well but been on for a while now. I know there is somewhere faulty in the system. Where do I get the Tech-2 from? Doesn't the light indicate there is something wrong?

Tech-2s are very expensive. You are better off just finding a mechanic with one.
