Hey guys, purchased a high sport kit from another member, I am in the process of fabricating a new nose for my Monte, I finally got to the point where the front high sport lip goes on and to my amazement, it doesn't come close to fitting, like if it was from another make of car, ....... What am I doing wrong ?... Pics are below.... Thanks...mjc.....

 

You have to cut slots in the bumper for the lip to fit..
The Lip goes in the slots in bumper..

 

What Jerry said. The extension wont fit unless you cut slots on the bumber. Im going to be doing this soon

 

It has to bend a little if I am remembering right.

Lol.. Thanks for all the replies... Lol... Had no clue that it had to have slots cut into the new bumper...lol.. Feel like an idiot for that one... I was just thinking.. Man it doesn't even come close to fitting, what's with that...lol... I thank you for the "how to" as well... Man this Forum is GREAT !
I may try something a bit different with the lip.... Ill post a picture of a mock up when I get it made... I took the "teeth" out of the lower grill (as seen in the pics" as well as filled in the fog light holes, a different fog light is going in , coming out of the lower grill opening as well as a "hidden" electric licence plate holder...then, under the high sport lip, I'm putting on a splitter from RCR (Kevin Harvicks 29 Dega car off Ebay).
