Question Need Help Please~> on high sport lip Install -Thanks : )

Wooooooooooooo I managed to get a high sport front lip finally for my 02 ss. Brand new and paint matched for $100, yes I feel very lucky. I guess the wait paid off.
So now I'm noticing the hs lip has tabs to go into the bumper that mine does not have holes for. I'm thinking cut them off, 3m tape it and screws where there any holes are already set up in the lip. Anyone ever do this? Any tips?

I'm comfronted with a similar problem. Have to replace my bumper cover (and hood) on my '02 pace car. Can save a lot of money with an aftermarket vs. OEM replacement, but would have to modify to accept the lower trim. Thinking about using my Dremel with a cutting bit.

Hopefully someone knows better...

Unable to take a good picture, but I'll attempt to describe. There is a crease on the lower portion of the fascia where there about about a dozen 1" horizontal slots cut to accept the retaining tabs of the sport valence.

Thanks for the assistance Kidspace! It's not that front piece, it's the lip extension that comes stock on the high sport models. Fd2010 you descibed it and the tabs on it perfectly, I'm thinking now to cut holes for them to fit, then I'm assuming stock clips go on from inside the bumper cover... Rats! Wish i had a pic(at job).

That's exactly what I needed to know! That thread answered it, thanks Sideways. I purchased new bolts for the bottom 5 holes in the lip and j-clips just to keep it fresh(stock bolts looked rough). I'm doing the install soon and will try to take pics for anyone in the future wishing to do this. It should look killer!
Thanks again guys.
