Help! No Power to deck!
So about a week ago my aftermarket deck decided to shut off. I checked all fuses, they're fine. I purchased a new deck and wired it up, and it too does not get power. I checked the hot wire and I am not getting any current.
I would much rather not bring the car into a shop or anything, and do the work myself. What do I do from here?

Well of coarse you have electrical issues.....the worst issues sometimes their are.
If your not an inquirer....then just run it from any constant 12v (cigarette lighter)
If you are....you might need to bust out the Chilton or such and follow your wires. Your problem is simple, you are not getting power (you probably should have checked before buying new deck.
And you can always test a deck running it straight from the battery, its the same power.)

so all you need to find out is if its your power or ground that is bad. so take the radio out and run your own wire from the radio power to the fuse box leaving the ground hooked to the harness. if it comes on its your power wire. if not its most likely the ground. so use a temp ground source other than the harness. if it comes on then it was the ground. make sure you have a good ground connection.
