Default Help! Hood making nasty rattling noise, on 2 of our montes.

Can someone please help diagnose the issue I am dealing with right now.
My hood has issues.
It sags some in that the panel gaps no longer line up with the side fender panels. It is much lower than the side fender panels in the closed position.
It also has a tendency to bounce up and down at high speed.
And my major complaint is that it makes this real $hi+TY sounding rattle noise whenever you hit the smallest bump!
Its been like this for 2 years or so.

Now my brothers Monte is having the same problem, all of a sudden. The second you hit some uneven pavement, the hood rattles to all hell making some very audible metal on metal sounds.

The hinges and associated hardware seem tight and intact.
I have reason to believe it has something to do with the latch mechanism, not lining up properly, or closing as tightly.
Anyone have any experience with this, or have some diagnosis or advice?
Is there a way to adjust the latch?

I would try looking at those little rubber stoppers that look somewhat like screws. Try turning them to make them stick up higher. That's what I did to fix my uneven hood. Might also hold it up enough to keep it from bouncing around and making noise.
