ok ok what you need to do is go out and buy meguries color x or meguries ultimate compound....your lookin at 10 dollars....and to achive a glass like finish use a clay bar first. Now you need a real buffer not just a vibrator. After the clay bar use the color x or the Ult Comp, and after that use Meguries Nxt generation wax 2.0.....ta da your car shinny

I'm going to say, if you don't want to spend upwards of 6+ hours on this, and save some money, get a meguiar's clay bar kit from somewhere, I purchased mine at Wal-Mart for $12. It has the claybar, detailer spray, and a liquid wax. Use that, and it should be a lot better than it currently is.

1. 2000-Grit Wet sand using either a air DA, or Porter Cable 7424 Electrical DA - very light pressure, your goal is just to knock off the high points in the clear coat. WARNING... Hard Pressure or working one spot too long could result in the total removal of clear coat and worse yet, paint...
2. Followed by Meguiars Light Cut = High Density Foam Pad
3. Followed by Meguiars Swirl Remover = Med Density Foam Pad
4. Followed by Meguiars Machine Glaze = Med Density Foam Pad
5. Followed by Meguiars Show Car Wax - Low Density Foam Pad to put on, Clean High Density Pad with a Soft Micro Fiber Bonnet to buff off.
Repeat step 5, multiple times or until paint looks like it is under glass.
Then maintain it with regular washes and weekly waxing.... But that is me...

the meguires ultimite compound is amazing stuff, mostly because its easer to apply than waxing the car, and the results are amazing! my dads black 96 ss looked like it was never waxed since it left the dealership, after a good wash we used the meguires compound, 2 coats, and a coat of wax, the color & shine came right back, it looks like a different car! ( still no where as nice as black attacks, though, lol) i dont know how bad your car is, but i would definitly reccomed the meguires.
