ABS came before traction control and you have an earlier model Monte. I don't know if traction control was offered on a 5th gen Monte....

 

Well my hubs I ordered came in today...
Guess time to research and get ready to change them out.

I figured I would need new bolts that go in the back of the hub assembly
and I went by the dealership and those things are nearly $7 a piece.
Do I have to get these bolts from the dealer?

 

And I saw you went with Timken hubs, great choice
FYI - If you are doing this yourself, I recommend having a tool known as an air hammer. It truly helps with getting the old hub out and avoiding aggravation. On average, I can do these in about 1 hour flat (including getting the tools out and putting them away all work done in the driveway).

Also, I'm not going to say you should not but new bolts (as I believe the shop book instructs you to), but I have re-used the bolts everytime unless the head of a bolt got messed up during removal.

Lastly, the caliper bracket that bolts to the spindle, the 2 bolts for it require loctite. I have had personal experience with tightening them and one falling off. Replacements come with GM's version of a dry red loctite. I last used red loctite from the parts store (and before anyone chimes in, yes, I can take the bolts out still with hand tools).

As for getting the bolts, you can sometimes substitute with bolts from the hardware store, but they will NOT be flange bolts like the factory used and may not fit right (due to the difference in head size).
