Default Funky Fuel gauge

For a while now the fuel gauge in my car has been acting weird. When I would start the car, the gauge would go all the way to full, all the way back, then back to full again. And at random times, it would just go to Empty and warn me that I have low fuel. it would always stay at Full or Empty, it doesn't actually show how much fuel I have.

Here is a video to show you what I mean. I just drove it up a few feet in the driveway.

Any help would be appreciated, and if there are any threads about the same problem, I apologize. Thanks.

Yea, I was planning on replacing it anyway because, if you can see, the message center also isn't working. Thanks for the help.

If you search the forum you'll find the thread that explains, and even shows how to replace, the motors on the gauge clusters. It even gives you the nomenclature for the new motors. i looked on ebay, since I have the same problem, and you can find them there for very cheap. There's even a guys that will repair it for 100.

You can also send your gauge clusters to bbengineer.com and he can do some LED swaps and fix your motors
