Unfortunately there are no illustrations. This is not a TSB, per say... its known as a PI (Preliminary information). It basically means that GM has had a certain amount of concerns called into tech center for this problem but it has not been wide spread enough to turn into a TSB at this point.

From reading through this post and seeing how his dealer has handled the concern, I would say they did a poor job and I would also assume that they did not do any research because they would have found this PI and fixed it right the first time.

I may be wrong though since I am only going off of what I have read here and there may be more to the story.

I also have had on going problems with my dash warping very badly. I had it at the dealer again a (North West Suburb of Chicago) last month. They replaced both parts of the dash this time It is not warped right now However now I get a popping noise from the left side of the dash when I drive the car [:@][:@]

yah i have an 04, i had mine changed out 3 times at the dealership i bought it from. mine is also black and its comeing up to the left of where the passenger side airbag square thing is. drives me nuts.. last time i had it replaced they told me its a design flaw and in SC its a common problem:co nfused::co nfused::co nfused::co nfused:
