i have an 02 limted edition ss and when i floor it from 100 to 160 i get a flashing engine light for couple seconds then i let off and it goes away could this just be a miss fire i have taken care of this car like a baby and it has 90000 km on it.

 

Yes flashing lights are usually a misfire.

But yes, it usually says there's a misfire. Change your spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, see if it helps.

 

it could also be a bad fuel pressure regulator . had that problem with my 2000 monte ss. my local chevy dealer fixed it for free . ... recall situation . i too thought it was
a misfire.

It was an option in 01-03 where you got the High Sports Kit, stand-up spoiler, limited edition on the gauges, and 5-spoke star wheels.
