The SS might have gotten the FE4 suspension and you probably have the FE2/3?

If you look at optional tire sizes for the LT it says 225 width still on 17s.

I find it odd that it is only the driver's side. Did they hit the strut plate?

If it's only rubbing on the driver side I would suspect (as Lou mentioned) worn/damaged suspension compnonents and/or an alignment issue.

For it to be damaged or wore u would have bigger issues sence the 2 pieces are welded to the strut that give it the clearance

So i wonder if the struts are different then. The hubs have the same spec's and the same part numbers. I looked it up on rock auto.com.

I suppose I'll let it rub away. It's hardly touching. The suspension must be different on the supercharged models. Oh well.

well i removed my spacers and fixed the rubbing issue today, as you can see no more rubbing and it was only on the driver side
all you need is a small sledge hammer and some muscle! lol :p
dont mind my rusty parts

Also notice the coil spring boosters i installed haha my monte was sagging from the rear a lil so this fixed it right up and stiffened up the car a little bit more and gave it a bit better stance
i also removed my huge 4 cubic ft sub box, amp and cap. so nomore bass for me
but on the plus side, my monte feels so much better without that weight and with the rear STB back on. Which i reinstalled after i removed it to fit my sub box a lil better
