Default Factory size tire rubs in the rear on my strut

Just put on new tires today myself. I have SS 17 inch wheels and put 235/55 17 size on and on the drivers rear it rubs now. Didn't have an issue with the previous tires. How can I fix this?

i think frank may have sold those spacers to me, they're just the ones that go inbetween the rim and the hub, they're less than an inch thick, that's what people do to fit torque stars over their calipers also

Is there something different on the suspension of the SS montes compared to th LT? Doesn't make sense why they would rub

I thought the SS's came with 16'' rims at least until 03. I also thought the high sport's had 17 stock but now I don't know. Could the rub be caused by worn or sagging suspension parts?

i believe only L67 montes had the 17's stock Lou
and it could be cus of the worn or saggy suspension :p

mine only rub a tiny bit, a small sledge hammer could easily take care of that in 2 minutes but i'd just rather keep the spacers on

Worn suspension wont cause it, its the spring plate on the bottom rubs, im wondering if the 04-05 SC has a wider hub? Does anyone thats running these rims have nee struts? I put KYB struts on mine for a SC one so we shall see, Frank i may need to borrow your spacers
