Has anyone who has posted actually done this before? I can understand the crankcase vacuum but I have never just popped off my oil cap while running.

Oil FILL not Filter. But, yes I know you can take it off while it is running, as stated about using breathers, the car should still run, but mine started to cut out, then after 2 seconds it was fine. You could put your hand on the valve cover and it feels just like a shop vac.

i did it on the car at work and quickly put it back on cuz i didnt know what would happen and i didnt wanna find out on a customer vehicle!!

and that would happen. it is the exact same thing as puttin ur hand over a shop vac hose..when u put ur hand over it the system, the vacuum will suction ur hand. if thats what u meant by a hoover its nuttin but normal

Problem Solved !!! My PCV Valve didn't have an O ring on it.
