Default Engine Trouble
Ok today I went to pull the oil fill off my car while it was running, and the vacuum was insane, it was like a straight up hoover. Help?

i don't understand what you need help with? also, why in the world would you take your oil filter off while the engine is running? good way to do some damage imo.

i think he means the oil fill cap not oil filter

i would hope he didnt mean the oil filter. cuz idk about you guys but if he took the oil filter off while it was running he needs to not be working on the car in the first place!

and as far as taking off the filler cap while runnning that would indeed cause a major vacuum leak if im not mistaken?!?

oil fill cap, ok. Shouldn't really cause a "vaccuum leak" since you can use breathers without issue. I've never had a problem pulling my filler cap off while it's running.

ah. well then im not too sure about his problem... i member i pulled the oil fill cap off an impala at work while it was running and i was like oh crap! i can see stuff moving! haha i didnt know if that was good or bad

there is crankcase vacuum...shouldnt sound like a hoover but u will have vacumm there
