i have a 1997 monte,great car,,,little trouble ,,,starts fine when cold runs great once warmed up after several shut offs,service engine light comes on and then you shut it off again then it acts like its not getting fuel and coughs and sputters then quits and wont start again so i use starting fluid and with some coaxing and a little luck it will start again and once going down the rd runs fine,,been doing this for about a month,any sugestions,,,thanks

 

#1 thing to do, get the car scanned, find out the exact code numbers it's throwing and report back with those numbers.
Also, what size engine do you have?
