Default Engine doesn't start

I have a 2002 SS with the 3.8L motor. When I turn the ignition to start the car it doesn't start. There is no clicking as if the battery is bad. The battery is new and is good. When the swith is turned to the start position all lights on the dash go out. All systems loose power when the switch is turned to start. This problem is intermittent. Does have an idea as to what may be causing this. I am thinking possibly the neutral safety switch??

Check your grounds. Could be the ignition switch too...
