Door Panels
I have a considerable gash on both sides of my door panels from something of which I'm not sure (previous owners). It's really been bothering me and I've been wondering if it would be a large task (larger than I think) to buy new door panels and install them with all of the switches. Is it hard to transfer this network of power window/mirror/lock switches or relatively simple? I've already read the help thread on how to remove them so this isn't about that really. It's about the process of installing all of these components onto a completely new set of door panels.

Thanks to anyone who can help me out. I might go to a body shop to do this if there's a big chance I'll mess up my wiring badly. I guess I just wanted to know what to watch out for and how easy or hard the task was. I hate getting stuck in the middle of something like this.

Hm, I didn't think it was repairable. One is towards the back of the door, an inch long and it looks like someone literally melted the plastic off with a cigarette lighter (like the one in the car). It's pretty bad, but atleast that one is not really noted as I usually don't have people in the back. But I can take photos of it, my rechargeables are charging right now so I'll try to get some photos in. The others are like smaller scrapes and scuffs.
Swaping out the door panels is easy. do yourself a favor and get trim panel remover tool. I got mine at Harbor Freight for like $5. there are 3 screws, Then just unsnap your switches
