How do u take off the dome light to change the buld (04 monte)

 

that is a good question considering i have that same year lol

 

i dont want to pull and break somthing off.

 

Does it mention it in the owner's manual? I'm at work and can not look at it right now.

 

No, not unless i missed it. it just tells me the type of bulb.

 

Hey There Monte, I had a 2003 Monte and if I remember correctly you had to slide the housing back and pull down. When it's far enough back it should just 'pop' off. It's kind of scary but it's not very complicated. Just don't put so much force the whole headliner starts to pull down. It takes more than you'd think, but not enough to pull the whole headliner down. I removed it one day just out of curiosity. To put it back on it's the same, start more towards the back and just snap it on, then slide it to the correct position. It should slide pretty easy once the plastic cover is snapped in place.

man it seems like i have to wrestle mine out dont even have it all the way back in right now i got so frustrated with it guess ill try to fix that today

 

slide the shel in first, then put the clear plastic in thats what worked for me.
