Carloman, my problem was the ECM. I thought it was probably the BCM, but thank goodness, it was the ECM! Super easy to change out, (it's under the breather assembly), and I got the new ECM........Programmed! on Ebay for about $90. Make sure you get it programmed to the VIN number or it won't work. P.S. all the mechanics I spoke to wanted about $600 to fix it. I did it with the Ebay ECM for, like I said, $90. Good luck and there's videos on YouTube that'll show you how to change it out..........super simple!

I have a 2001 Monte Carlo LS that i bought it ran and drove but the emissions couldn't pass so i put new O2 sensors and after that it still would turn on ! So took off the Throttle Body and the ERG to clean them after that my car starting acting FUNNY cus i forgot to put the Throttle Body Gasket lol so one day i went to start it and it didnt start so i thought that the battery was dead so me and my friend tired to jump-start it but my friend didnt hook up the positive cable to the terminal by the fuse box he did it straight battery to battery ???So i dont know if it matters the way you jump it????? After that the car would not turn over just make a clicking noise??? So i went and bought a new battery and hooked it up and i tired to start it and the engine would turn but not start after a couple of trys it still would not start and it would go back to making a clicking noise??? Upon further inspections i found out that there's a ticking noise coming from under my dashboard on the driver side?? Can no one help me PLZ ??? Thank you
