Default CV joint or ball joint?

I have a popping noise coming from the left front of my car.

Mostly happens when going in reverse and turning to the left, will happen when turning while in drive too, over bumps, etc.

Bushings are okay, control arm is okay, no play in the wheel. Took it to a shop and no one can find the problem. I suggested a CV joint but they said it would be clicking when going straight too. There is no vibration in the steering wheel. I'm thinking its a ball joint.

Anyone have similar issue, ideas?

I also just replaced both front struts, springs and mounts.

Thanks!
