Here is some more shop manual data. Sounds like you are on the right path, needing to check out the crank and cam sensors. Hopefully the PDFs help get you closer to an answer.

Wound up being the wire from the ICM to the crankshaft sensor. They did a little workaround that got it running (they're gonna properly rewire it soon, because I have no desire to do that), but it's throwing a misfire code now. I have a feeling the crankshaft may be dead as well, or might need a relearn now.
So when I wired the ground wrong, I had the wiring harness in the wrong spot. Turns out the belt ate through the harness. The rocker arms also weren't torqued correctly, so I need to do a better job with that. The bolts were apparently almost all the way out when they fixed it. Thanks again Maniac for all the PCM help.
